The Institute for Nursing Healthcare Leadership
The Institute for Nursing Healthcare Leadership (INHL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the participation of nurses in health services leadership. The INHL offers an annual national conference for executive nurse leaders. In addition, INHL offers a CNO Leadership Fellowship in partnership with The National Center for Healthcare Leadership. Johnson & Johnson Wharton Fellows Program in Management for Nurse Executives
This fellows program provides leadership education for senior healthcare executives during a three-week session each year. Forty executives are chosen each year to study strategic, financial, managerial, and leadership approaches to organizational development at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. The program prepares high-level nurse executives with the management skills needed to deal with the rapid changes occurring in health care.

Leadership Institute for Black Nurses
New York University runs this program designed to prepare nurses of African descent for leadership positions, 12 fellows participate in a 6 month program focused on education and mentorship. Nurse Manager Academy at The Institute for Johns Hopkins Nursing
Using interactive group activities, this week long conference promotes self-assessment, skill development, financial management, best practices, and critically thinking. It is designed for new and experienced Nurse Managers. During the conference a network of resources is developed that participants use and take with them when they return to their practice sites.

The Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellows Program
Run by the Center for the Health Professions at UCSF, the RWJ Executive Nurse Fellows Program is a 3-year program that focuses on five core leadership competencies: self-knowledge; inspiring and leading change; strategic vision; risk taking and creativity; and interpersonal/ communication effectiveness. This is a national program for nurses in executive roles, public health, and nursing education.
