Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development Healthcare Workforce & Community (OSHPD)
OSHPD is the principal focus in state government for healthcare workforce data, planning, and policy, with a special emphasis on training for primary care professionals interested in practicing in underserved areas. Healthcare workforce issues are coordinated by the Healthcare Workforce and Community Development Division (HWCDD), including administration of the following programs:
Song-Brown Family Physician Training Program;
Cooperative Agreement Program; California State Loan Repayment Program; Health Careers Training Program; and, Health Manpower Pilot Project Program.
